USSD confirms fake US embassy in Ghana was issuing fraudulent visas for 10 years

In one of the strangest stories of the past few months, it has been revealed that a fraudulent embassy in Ghana – pretending to be a United States embassy – has been issuing fake visas for over 10 years. The State Department has confirmed that for the past decade the embassy has been providing people in Ghana with fake visas, diplomas and other proof of education, birth certificates, bank records, education records and all sorts of other documents that should not be counterfeited.

As reported by Amando Flavio of Anon HQ, “The State Department failed to provide the number of people who had traveled on these fake documents to the United States, or elsewhere around the world. However, the department did say that Operation Spartan Vanguard has cut the export of fraudulent documents by 70%.”

Flavio goes on to write that the State Department confirmed, “… this is just the beginning of a larger operation yet to take place in other West African nations to clamp down on visa fraudsters.”

This is par for the course when it comes to the State Department, though. Refusing to disclose details about situations akin to this one is the kind of behavior that has led to many Americans growing more and more concerned about the overall safety of our country. We cannot afford to have potentially dangerous people entering into the United States thanks to using false forms of identification. This should be alarming to everyone, but it seems to be constantly pushed under the rug.

Who is to say that what was happening in Ghana hasn’t been going on all over the place? How do we know that there aren’t a number of false United States embassies in other countries all across the world? Considering the current state of affairs when it comes to global terrorism, this is most definitely something that should be looked into. Our lives could very well be at risk.

Should radical Islamic terrorists with links to ISIS gain access to these kinds of embassies, the United States could be a major target for potential attacks. If there is nothing keeping them from entering our country, there is nothing keeping them from attacking us. The smartest thing to do for the time being is to increase border security and ensure that everyone who enters our country is properly vetted – and that means including significantly more background checks than there have been in the past.
