If you still believed that the elitist corporation media is on the side of ordinary Americans, you should disabuse yourself of that mythical notion.
The New York Times published a column this week lauding escalating inflation that working-class men and women are currently struggling with, as well as record-high gasoline and diesel fuel costs because it will hasten the transition to the far-left’s “green agenda,” which is nothing more than a massive population control scheme.
The column by lifestyle journalist Annaliese Griffin reads like it was written by the most out-of-touch, tone-deaf person on the planet — or a stone propagandist for the left’s climate alarmism agenda. You decide; here’s an excerpt:
If the current rate of food inflation holds and Americans don’t change their meat consumption habits, they will spend roughly $20 billion more on meat, poultry, fish and eggs over the next year than they did in 2020. … Inflation has the potential to drive welcome change for the planet if Americans think differently about the way they eat. While hunger and food insecurity are a very real problem in the United States and globally, middle- and upper-class Americans still have more choices at the grocery store than perhaps any food shoppers in history. Climate change has motivated some to eat less resource-intensive meat and more vegetables, grains and legumes, but this movement has not reached the scale necessary to bring needed change — yet.
Never before in the history of our country have citizens in positions of influence and power either advocated for or cheered on political movements and policies that call for massive reductions in Americans’ individual liberties. The same left-wing Democratic Party cheerleaders who crow about “my body, my choice” when it comes to killing unborn babies literally pivot on a dime — and without any awareness of their own hypocrisy — to stump for policies that take away our choices about what we want to eat, want to buy, want to drive, and want to live. Joe Biden ran on a platform of reducing the use of fossil fuels, but he never once came out and said, ‘Elect me: I want to entirely change your modes of transportation and replace them with $60,000-a-piece vehicles that will crater our already fragile power grid.”
And yet, that’s what he’s doing — or rather, that is what his handlers are doing, even as they take their orders from Barack Obama, ‘Mr. The Seas Are Rising Due to Climate Change’ who bought a multimillion-dollar mansion along the Atlantic Coast in Martha’s Vineyard.
“Inflation resulting from the cost of fuel and feed, coupled with supply chain slowdowns, may make meat substitutes more affordable relative to traditional, factory-farmed meats. … Historically, cost has been a powerful force that has changed Americans’ diets. Yes, people in most cultures tend to eat more meat as they grow richer. But tighter budgets have also driven reductions in meat consumption,” Griffin’s sanctimonious column continued.
Translation: ‘Left-wing propagandists like me don’t care if you can no longer afford gas, food, and clothing; it’s worth it to break your finances in order to achieve the pipe-dream green agenda I want.’
“The New York Times seems bent on updating Gordon Gekko’s phrase from the 1987 film Wall Street: Chaos, for lack of a better word, is GOOD. Climate activists in academia, the Biden admin and the media seem to think the more humans suffer, the more the planet will benefit,” said Marc Morano, founder of ClimateDepot.com.
“This is more evidence that economic calamity, debt, inflation, supply chain issues, and skyrocketing meat and energy costs are not the unintended consequences of the climate agenda, but the INTENDED consequences,” he noted further.
“Chaos conditions the public to accept more centralized control of their lives. Vladimir Lenin reportedly once said, ‘worse is better’ or ‘the worse, the better’ to cheer on chaos and the destruction of the existing order to impose his ideology,” he added.
The left is making a full-court press to take control of our country forever — ahead of the November midterm elections in which Democrats are expected to lose big. Be prepared.
