If you thought that keeping your cellphone glued to your hand wouldn’t cause health problems, you’d be wrong. An extensive cohort of research, compiled by ElectricSense.com, confirms several shocking findings about the negative effects of cell phone radiation can have on the human body — especially the brain.
For example, one study led by T-Mobile — a major mobile network provider in the United States — found that the radiation produced by cellphones directly initiates and enhances the formation of cancer. The famous Interphone study also found that just thirty minutes of cellphone use a day for a period of ten years raised the risk of developing a glioma by 40%. It also found that the tumors were most likely to be present on the side of the head where one most often holds their phone.
A review of 23 epidemiological studies conducted by seven scientists concluded that there was a harmful association between cellphones and cancer. Scientists from the Hardell Research Group also found that there was a consistent pattern of increased risk of glioma and acoustic neuroma with cellphone use. Another study by the Hardell group found that RF-EMFs from both mobile and cordless phones are associated with the growth of malignant brain tumors. This study specifically mentioned that wireless radiation caused and promoted the spread of cancer.
In addition to damaging your brain and causing brain cancer, radiation emitted from cellphones and other mobile devices has also been associated with disrupting several other body systems. The electromagnetic pollution produced by these devices is associated with triggering cancers in a number of organs, such as the pituitary gland, thyroid, lymph nodes, blood, breasts, eyes, and prostate. Several studies have also indicated that cellphone use contributes to the development of oral cancers and cancer of the parotid gland. Several different studies conducted by researchers from Israel have pointed to a significant connection between cellphone use and parotid gland cancer. The parotid gland is a salivary gland that’s located right next to where most people hold a cellphone.
A recent peer-reviewed study also found that children are more susceptible to the dangers of EMF pollution and radiation. The study, published in one of the world’s premier scientific and engineering magazines, used sophisticated computer imaging to mimic the effects cellphone radiation had on different brain models. The researchers used models of brains aged from three years old to thirty-four years old and generated estimates of how much cell phone radiation each brain would likely absorb. The researchers found that younger brains absorbed more radiation from things like cellphones, microwaves and other such devices than adults.
It might be good to limit your time, and your kid’s time, with cellphones and other mobile devices. Encouraging other activities like gardening, sports, reading or knitting are some great ways to get your family to put the cellphone or tablet down.
