When it comes to Hillary Clinton, the scandals are endless. Though the Benghazi conflict and the private email server are certainly at the top of everyone’s list, Clinton’s scandals are constantly piling up — even to this day.
Here are five that you should know about.
1.) Huma Abedin’s murky conflicts of interest ties
Huma Abedin, longtime aide of Hillary Clinton and longtime husband of Anthony Wiener, is a major conflict of interest. A devout Muslim, Abedin’s ties to a Saudi Arabian “charity” that was actually funding terror attacks is well documented and shouldn’t be ignored. For Hillary to be working so closely with someone who clearly has a stronger allegiance to her religion than her country sets off a number of red flags.
2.) Sidney Blumenthal — the aide she never should have trusted
A top aide during Bill Clinton’s presidency, Sidney Blumenthal has had ties to the Clinton family for decades. Unfortunately for him, he seems to be incorrect about a stunning amount of political theories. Clinton still seems to trust him, though, which has potentially led to her making a series of boneheaded decisions. In regards to the safety of our country, that is incredibly dangerous.
3.) Expensive speeches — bought-out morality
The Clintons are notoriously expensive when it comes to booking them to give speeches — so much so that it became a major talking point for Bernie Sanders while campaigning against Hillary. Her attempts to seem relatable to the working class are doomed to fail when she’s making hundreds of thousands of dollars to give legendarily brief speeches.
4.) The Clinton Foundation scam
Constantly viewed as a complete and utter scam by anyone who even attempts to analyze it, the Clinton Foundation has been the subject of controversy for years now. The completely undeniable conflicts of interest and the belief that the foundation was actually funding big businesses have left many people feeling turned off by the organization.
5.) The Whitewater scandal
This is where most of the controversies began. The Whitewater Development Corporation controversy dates back to the late 1970s when Bill and Hillary entered into a failed real estate venture with Jim and Susan McDougal. A series of FBI investigations followed in search of criminal misconduct due to many investors losing money on the deal. While neither Bill nor Hillary were formally convicted of any wrongdoing, Whitewater is still a controversial subject.
