Zuckerberg says Facebook isn’t a media company as crowd laughs

Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg just can’t stop himself, can he?

Over the past few years, the billionaire founder of Facebook has proven himself to be a charter member of the Regressive Left. From suppressing conservative trending topics to having pages that criticize radical Islamic terrorism banned, Zuckerberg’s political and social ideologies continue to be pushed to the forefront of the company.

When news broke that Facebook’s algorithm was preventing conservative topics from trending on the social network’s sidebar, logical, freedom-loving people from both the left and the right expressed disappointment with the decision to censor dissenting opinions.

Zuckerberg and his army of goons responded that since they’re not technically a media outlet, they are not required to give an unbiased view of the news. This subject was once again brought up at a recent Q&A session. Immediately after someone asked if Facebook was, in fact, a media company, Zuckerberg attempted to laugh it off as foolish.

According to Business Insider, “Zuckerberg went on to explain how Facebook is a technology company that gives media companies tools and a platform, not a media company itself.”

It’s a semantics battle and a slightly absurd comment to make, considering how social media has shaped all of our lives. For an apparent majority of people — social media is the new news station. Zuckerberg is certainly not an idiot and should be well aware that this is the case.

However, he still continues to stand by the fact that Facebook is not a media company.

As annoying as this is, this is nothing new when it comes to censorship. Twitter has recently engaged in similar behavior by banning Milo Yiannopoulos for making fun of the atrocious Ghostbusters remake — a decision that led to the company receiving loads of backlash.

Leftist-run social media networks — which are advertised as being a voice for everyone — have been proven to be nothing more than shill companies used to push the agendas of their insane, left-wing puppeteers.

Considering that these companies are used so frequently by people as their singular news source, it’s dangerous that they’re in charge of what news and views are actually promoted. As a result, the average American is only getting one side of the story instead of multiple perspectives. This is problematic for a number of reasons.

It is important that we, as freedom-loving Americans, promote independent and alternative media sources to everyone around us. Combating the systems that have been put in place is of utmost importance if we want to live a life of truth and wide-spread knowledge.
