The Zelensky regime has burned through so much Western-donated weaponry and cash that Ukraine is pretty much out of Patriot missiles to keep Russia at bay.
The latest reports indicate that Kiev is once again “actively and urgently” begging Washington, D.C., for more weapons of mass destruction (WMDs) to try to stop Russia from taking back its territory.
Each Patriot missile system costs around $1 billion and Kiev wants at least two more of them just for Kharkov alone. The United States, though, says it is only willing to maybe donate one more Patriot missile system.
“We are intensely focused on Patriots and other forms of air defense, and making sure that we can find them and bring them to Ukraine,” commented Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“Kharkov of course is one urgent priority. There are others. All I can tell you is this is something we discussed in detail, and that we’re actively and urgently working on.”

Ukraine’s second-largest city, Kharkov is situation in eastern Ukraine close to Russia. Russian troops have been storming the region with ease, seizing control of cities, towns and villages including Glubokoye and Lukyantsy, two villages located near to the Ukraine-Russia border.
“We need today two Patriots for Kharkov,” actor and LGBT Pride marcher Volodymyr Zelensky told Blinken while meeting with the U.S. diplomat this week.
In 2022, the U.S. gave Ukraine one Patriot battery. Last month, Germany promised to send Ukraine one as well, this after last year donating one with the help of the Netherlands. There is believed to be one additional battery currently in Ukraine as well.

One of the aforementioned Patriot batteries donated to Ukraine was damaged in a Russian hypersonic missile strike last year.
If you are unfamiliar with what a Patriot battery is, it is comprised of a power plant, radar and control stations, truck-mounted missile launchers and an array of support vehicles.
The U.S. handed Ukraine another $60 billion welfare check last month that the Zelensky regime could use to pay for more Patriot missile systems, but said systems are said to be in such short supply that the money is basically worthless.
The Congressional Research Service compiled a report last year estimating that the U.S. currently has around 60 Patriot batteries in service. All around the world, including in the 18 countries that operate them as well, there are said to be around 250 Patriot batteries in existence.
Raytheon manufactures Patriot batteries in partnership with Lockheed Martin. Both of these companies are major weapons and defense industry players with lots of cash being thrown their way.
Though he most recently asked for just two Patriot batteries, Zelensky said last month that he actually wants 25 Patriot batteries from the U.S., each of which is to comprise between six and eight launchers.
Zelensky later revised that number down to “at least seven,” only to be told by U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan that Washington cannot give any more Patriot batteries to Ukraine without undermining its own national security.
Now, suddenly, the U.S. is considering handing Ukraine one single Patriot missile system even though Russia is promising a certain victory no matter how many Patriot missile systems are sent to Ukraine.
“Planning and allegedly preparing for that war for 14 years and then running out of arms and defence systems within 2 years aptly demonstrates what NATO is – a reckless, even criminal enterprise threatening mankind,” wrote a commenter at RT about all this madness.
