Canadian authorities took aim this week at podcaster Tommy Robinson, who was arrested by police for “immigration offenses,” only to be released not long afterwards.
The 41-year-old conservative activist whose real name is Stephen Yaxley Lennon was touring Calvary when both undercover and uniformed police officers found, swarmed and detained him, throwing him in the back of a large police SUV – watch the video footage below:
Before being released, Robinson was reportedly forced to hand over his passport to Canadian authorities and agree to stay in southern Alberta. Robinson remains prohibited from leaving Canada.
“Ok I’m FREE, well sort of, none of this makes sense,” Robinson tweeted following the incident.
“I’m now detained in Calgary, prevented from leaving the city, these conditions stop me from continuing my tour of Canada and meeting with guests for podcasts. I’m not even allowed to leave to travel home.”
Watch the video below of Robinson speaking to a reporter about his release:

The irony is that Robinson was visiting Canada to participate in a podcast talk with Rebel News that was scheduled to take place in front of 150 people. The subject matter involved “freedom of speech,” the government’s “lawfare” agenda and Robinson’s own personal battles with British police.

Before being arrested and prohibited from speaking any further, Robinson was scheduled to make two additional appearances in Edmonton and Toronto as part of a “three-city tour.”
“I asked them, ‘What if I just want to go home?'” Robinson further told reporters about his interactions with Canadian police following his arrest. “And they said, ‘You’re not allowed to.'”
In another video of himself that he shared on X, Robinson asked publicly the reason for his detention.
“This is absolutely insane,” he said. “Get me a lawyer? Can you not tell me what I’m under arrest for?”
This is Justin Trudeau’s Canada, by the way. Things were not like this in Canada before Trudeau’s reign of terror, which has all but completely destroyed freedom of speech within the boundaries of our neighbor to the north.
We have learned that Robinson now has a lawyer – watch below:

“I want to know what the charge is and the reason for it first,” one commenter wrote about Robinson’s arrest. “If the charge is bogus in my opinion, then I wish I was his lawyer.”
Others noted that Robinson’s opposition to mass migration is more than likely one of the things, if not the thing, that landed him in the crosshairs of Canadian law enforcement.
While he remains under lockdown in Alberta, Robinson must check in three times a week at a local federal building. He has no court date or any further information about his status, either, which means his imprisonment in Alberta is apparently indefinite.
“Trudeau’s state security police brings back memories of the East German Stasi and Soviet KGB,” another commenter wrote.
“I did have a bad feeling when I heard Tommy had gone to Canada,” wrote another. “Trudeau is the one who should be in prison!”
“I have no respect left for this nation as long as Trudeau is prime minister,” said another, a Canadian resident. “We have sunk so low. Our freedoms are all but gone.”
The government is scared to death of people like Robinson who speak out and have a following. Learn more at Censorship.news.
