New York City isn’t exactly known for its excellent transportation. While the subways are the most tolerable, even they aren’t particularly enjoyable. However, the streets are an utter nightmare to navigate through. They have been this way for years, but things seem to have gotten even worse recently.
Unsurprisingly, investigations have shown that the Democrat in charge, Mayor Bill de Blasio, is directly responsible for many of the traffic jams that have forced people to use mass transit and public transportation instead of being able to drive freely on the roads.
Shawn Cohen, Yoav Gonen and Laura Italiano of the New York Post report, “Today’s gridlock is the result of an effort by the Bloomberg and de Blasio administrations over more than a decade of redesigning streets and ramping up police efforts, the sources said.” They write that a former official claims, “The goal of the jammed traffic is to shift as many drivers as possible to public transit or bicycles.”
By ensuring that the roads will be virutally impossible to navigate through, Mayor de Blasio and his band of liberal goons have forced everyone in the area to rely on other modes of transportation in order to get where they are going. While this is frustrating in its own right, it is even more important to analyze how this same method of corruption is used to oppress the American people in more ways than one.
All of the establishment politicians that are still holding office do this on a regular basis. They enforce absurd regulations that make everyday life much more complicated for the average American for the sole purpose of enslaving them and generating more money for themselves. This happens so often that you really have to wonder why the leftists haven’t caught onto this yet. It should be obvious that the powers that be are trying to keep people — all people — from getting too self-reliant, but it hasn’t for the liberals of the world. At this point, it seems as though we should force them to learn.
It’s time that we kick the likes of de Blasio to the curb and fill positions of power with people that are going to respect them and, even more importantly, respect the American people they have been chosen to represent. We can’t have these corrupt people running our cities, our states and our country any longer. We can’t allow this to happen. If we do, it’s only a matter of time before all of our roads are destroyed.
